Utilizing special equipment provided by Professional Directional, the rig operators know exactly the depth, formation and location of the drilling bit at all times.A Gamma Ray logging tool relays
the formation of the drilling bit to the rig operators while the MWD (Measurement While Drilling) tool tells the operators the exact location of where the bit is located, according to Martin.
He said the experts at Professional Directional call the shots on the horizontal operations and control the operation of the mud drilling pump located at the bottom of the hole, which guides the bit
